When you plan to spend months in a rental apartment in Madrid, this is the occasion to discover all the most amazing places around the city that often do not appear on the tourist guides. Parks, greenhouses, chapels, historical bridges… there is a lot to see in Madrid.

You can discover some of the most beautiful places in Madrid with touristic promoters that have designed thematic itinerary as an option to go around Madrid that help people to know more about the Spanish culture and history.   • Arganzuela´s Greenhouse of Madrid (10 Paseo Chopera) also known as the Palacio de Cristal greenhouse in la Arganzuela. This botanic museum, which counts with more than 9,000 plant species, is divided in 4 microclimate environments: tropical flora, subtropical flora, cacti and aquatic plant. The entrance is free and you can visit the botanical garden from Tuesday until Sunday from 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. To access this museum you can catch the tube (L3 and L6, Legazpi tube station) or the bus 18 (Plaza Mayor – Villaverde).
  • Puente de la Reine Victoria (Aniceto Marinas s/n). This bridge was inaugurated on the 13th of June 1909 and it is one of the more emblematic bridges of the city. Its modern style includes eight iron streetlights with rampant bears in reference to the city shield. It is situated in front of the San Antonio chapel which vault is a work of Goya. The bridge is situated in an area which counts with a lot of parks so that it is an ideal place to rent apartments in Madrid. The nearest tube station is the Principe Pio one. You can also catch a bus (41, 46 or 75).

  • El Capricho Park (25 Paseo Alameda de Osasuna). It is one of the most beautiful site in Madrid, even it is not that well known even by people from Madrid. If you don´t know what to do on weekends, we suggest you to go there (you can only access the park on Saturdays, Sundays and on bank holidays from 9 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. and between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.in summer). Bush labyrinths, swans river, dancing casino… are some of the thing you can discover in that park. The  101, 105 and 151 bus stops are the nearest from the park.
