We’re already in March and this weekend there are plenty of interesting things to do in Barcelona.

  • Cook and Film Festival. This is the first film and food festival that takes place in Barcelona. This event takes place from Thursday 10 March until Sunday 13 March at the FAD (Foment de les Arts i el Disseny), a private association that promotes the design and architecture in all fields of culture, located in Plaça dels Angels, next to MACBA. Do not forget to check the interesting program of the festival.
  • Opera at the Gran Teatre del Liceu. Until Saturday March 12 you can enjoy Parsifal, an opera with music and script by Richard Wagner. The Teatre del Liceu offers a briefing on the opera 45 minutes before the start of the show and is free of charge for those attending the staging.
  • CaixaForum. The CaixaForum offers until 17 April, the exhibition Construir la Revolución on the movement of constructivist art and architecture in Russia between 1915 and 1935.
  • Pre-Columbian Art. The Barbier-Mueller d’Art Columbian offers Rastres del Nord, El nord de l’Amèrica antiga a collection of archeological objects from ancient cultures like the Aztecs, Apaches and Sioux, among many, who inhabited areas now known as Canada, Mexico and the United States. Carrer de Montcada, 14.
  • Haute Couture Barcelona. An exhibition about fashion and haute couture from the golden age, originating in Catalonia. The exhibition takes place at the Palau Robert, Passeig de Gracia, 107.
  • Concerts in Barcelona. Rise Against The American group is presented in the Sala Razzmatazz on 12 March, while the Palau Sant Jordi receives Australian singer Kylie Minogue in Barcelona.
  • Football in Barcelona. This Sunday, March 13 Espanyol will play against Deportivo La Coruña, Espanyol’s new stadium in Cornella de Llobregat.
