Barcelona has a total of seven beaches within the city limits. Outside town there are, obviously, many more. Each beach has its own characteristics and that is why we want to help you finding a suitable beach. What about renting beach apartments in Barcelona? San Sebastián -The largest beach

This one kilometer long beach is not only the largest but also the oldest city beach of Barcelona. The San Sebastian beach starts at the end of Passeig Joan de Borbo. It can be difficult to find a spot on this narrow strip of sand as the locals like to bivouac here. This beach has excellent facilities for the disabled. There are sports facilities such as ping pong tables, three volleyball courts and a gymnastics area.

Barceloneta – the most famous beach

This is perhaps one of the most famous beaches in Barcelona. It lies just behind the port and is also one of the oldest beaches in town. The beach is frequently visit by young people and there are always a lot of skateboarders and football players on the adjacent sidewalk. There is even a library service available for those who want to read during their time at the beach. There are only a few hotels in this area but it is possible to find apartments to rent near the beach, also for a few days. Nova Icaria – The Family Beach

Next to Barceloneta beach, NOCA Icaria is situated. Here things are a bit calmer and therefore this beach is more suitable for families. If you are looking for Family Apartments near Barcelona’s beaches close to a suitable family beach this might be a nice neighbourhood for you. There are many facilities and services available nearby and the area is close to the Olympic port in front of the famous twin towers. Bogatell – The quiet beach

Mar Bella – The nudist beach

This famous beach, which was rigged for the ’92 Olympics in Barcelona, is often visited by young people looking for a place to practice nudism. But it is certainly not just a nudist beach as swimsuits and bikinis are simply worn too. This beach is easily accessible and located at Poble Nou. Here too, beach clubs and sports facilities are available so you will be equipped.

Nova Mar Bella and Llevant – New beaches

Nova Mar Bella and Llevant beaches are the newest of the city. These beaches are located near Diagonal Mar, one of the largest and famous shopping centers in BCN. Llevant tive is a quite narrow beach compared to the others.

It should be noted that the beaches in Barcelona are well equipped and all have public toilets, showers and fountains. You can hire loungers and umbrellas and at the beach bars you can go for a drink or a snack during the summer season.

Those who like to alternate, you can try something different and catch a train to get away of the bustled city. You can visit one of the nearby places for a beach day. Within half an hour you are able to walk into a total different environment which is characterized at the beaches too.

    El Vendrell es una zona muy interesante para tener una segunda vivienda, de hecho muchos de los turistas que veranean allí lo hacen por medio de esta opción.

    Puedes estar en El Vendrell y disfrutar de la zona, e incluso acercarte a zonas cercanas, o a Barcelona si vienes de fuera y quieres ver sitios de la capital.
