The Paseo de Gràcia & Rambla de Cataluña

Paseo de Gràcia is the most important street in Barcelona and one of the most famous in the world due to its tourist attractions, its prestigious boutiques and for its magnificent modernist buildings , such as Casa Batlló or La Pedrera. This street is located in the centre of Barcelona, the Eixample, a few steps from the also famous Plaza Catalunya.

The Rambla de Catalunya street is one of the best places for going shopping. It is a large and full of trees avennue where you’ll find a wide range of shops. There is also a small shopping centre called Bulevard Rosa which you can Access both from Rambla de Catalunya or Passeig de Gràcia.

On this route you will find some exclusive brands as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Valentino, Burberry, etc. If you’re coming to spend some days shopping in Barcelona, you can stay in anapartment near Paseo de Gracia.

The Pelai street and the Gothic Quarter

In the centre of Barcelona you can find a great variety of shops for all needs and tastes, and it’s an excellent sport o do your Christmas shopping. The Pelai street is one of the most visited in the city, for both its location and shopping options. This street is born at the beginning of Las Ramblas and ends at Plaza Universitat. Right where it meets Las Ramblas and Plaza Ctalunya there is a shopping centre called El Triangle, where you can find some internationally known stores as FNAC or Habitat. Also, there is a huge El Corte Inglés store at Plaza Catalunya.

If you go deeper into the Gothic Quarter, from Plaza Catalunya, you will find the Portal de l’Àngel, a pedestrian street full of shops and restaurants. From this place you can reach a narrow street called Portaferrisa, which is also packed with all kind of stores.

On this route you will find the most famous brands in Spain, such as Zara, Mango, Pull & Bear, Massimo Dutti, Springfield & Bershka. If you don’t live in Barcelona and are planning to come and do some shopping, you can stay in anapartmento in the Gothic Quarter.

Shopping Centres

If you’re looking for a shopping centre, find below a list of the main shopping centres in Barcelona. Note that the Maremagnum S.C. opens on Sundays, but not all of the stores are open.

Maremagnum – This shopping centre is located at Port Vell, where the famous Las Ramblas end, right next to the sea. It has several fashion shops and lots of restaurants. Metro: L3 Drassanes, Bus: 14, 59.

L’Illa –The most exclusive shopping centre in Barcelona, located on the famous Diagonal Avenue, in the wealthiest area of the city. Tram: L’Illa, Bus: 7, 59, 67, 68.

Glòries – This shopping centre is located in front of the famous Agbar tower, on the surroundings of Barcelona’s new technological district, the 22@. Metro: L1 Glòries, Tram: Ca l’Aranyó, Bus: 7, 92, 192.

Diagonal Mar – Located next to the Parc del Fòrum, in the modern Diagonal Mar neighbourhood. Metro: L4 El Maresme – Fòrum, Tram: El Maresme, Bus: 7, 41.

La Maquinista – This is one of the biggest shopping centres in Barcelona and houses some of the most exclusive shops in the city, such as the Apple Store. Metro: L1 Torres i Bages / Sant Andreu.
