Even if the Planetarium Cosmocaixa of Barcelona are open to the public since 2004, the Barcelona 3D Planetarium has been totally rebuilt last year, unique in Spain. High technology that was used enables participants (up to 136) to remain totally in the heart of the projection, with two channels of superimposed images, giving the feeling of being totally in the projected space.
Moreover, they’ve add other services in order that everyone can enjoy the planetarium: simultaneous translation into Castilian and English, subtitles for the deaf, sign language adaptation, audiodescrption for blind people and wheelchairs for people who have the need.
Nowadays, in the 3D Planetarium of Barcelona one can choose between several projections: Selección Natural (en 3D) and ¡Somos Astrónomos! (full dome projection). The Planetarium Cosmocaixa of Barcelona is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 10h00 to 20h00. From Tuesday to Thursday the 3D projection is at 17h30. During the week ends there are several 3D projections (usually 1 by hour). The tickets can be bought through the network ticketmaster and are at 2 €. The entry is open to people over 8 years old.
