The Queen Sofia Museum of Madrid houses some important collection of very famous artists such as Salvador Dalí, Joan Miró and Pablo Picasso. For instance, the work of art “El Guernica” is without a doubt one of the most important that you can see in the museum.

In addition to the exhibitions, going to the Queen Sofia Museum is also the occasion to discover a huge library which counts with more than 100,000 literary works of all kinds but also videos and voiced recordings.

If you don´t know how to go to the Reina Sofía Museum, you need to know that it is settled in the former Hospital General (52, Santa Isabel Street), designed in the 18th Century. Then, it has been declared a listed building.

You can visit the museum from Mondays to Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. but note that it is closed on Tuesday. Moreover, the entrance costs 6€. On Saturday afternoons and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2.30 p.m., the entrance is free.

This cultural space is also part of the Golden triangle of Art together with the Prado Museum and the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum.
