If you come to Barcelona in the next few months, we have a special suggestion for you: you should visit the Lights and Shadows´ Goya exhibition at the Caixaforum of Barcelona. The exhibition includes almost 100 works of the Spanish artists Francisco Goya such as The Clothed Maja, The Straw Manikin, Blind man’s bluff… The Prado Museum worked together with the Caixaforum Barcelona to put in place this exhibition that recounts the work of Goya.

The exhibition started on the 16th of March and runs until the 24th of June. The Caixaforum of Barcelona offers different way to discover the exhibition: guided visits (for schools, for groups or for any kind of audience), commented visits for families (since the 18th of March) and dynamised visits for any audience who is more than 7. The entrance to the exhibition is free. The cost, for a guided visit, depends on the category.

Moreover, a series of workshops has been created so that youth people get closer with the work of Francisco Goya. The workshops are opened from Mondays to Fridays (10 a.m.-8 p.m.). On Saturdays, Sundays and Bank holidays, workshops are opened until 9 p.m.

Some lectures have also been organized, including subjects like: Goya, Delacroix and the artistic freedom as political gesture (16th of April), From majas to odalisques: the nude and eroticism in modern art (10th of May)… Conferences start around 7.30 p.m. and cost 2€ per person. If you want to attend those lectures, we advice you to buy your entrance in advance because there are only a few seats available. If you want to take part in every lectures we advice you to rent an apartment in Barcelona by days.

Lights and Shadows at the Caixaforum until the 24th of June

Caixaforum of Barcelona address: 6-8 Avenida de Francesc Ferrer i Guàrdia. Very close from the Plaza España. The best alternatives to go there are the tube (L1 and L3) and the buses (9, 27, 30, 46, 57, 65, 79).
