Location for GSMA World Congress 2011:

The GSMA Mobile World Congress 2011 will take place at Fira de Barcelona, Montjuic Campus. You can take a virtual tour to Montjuic Campus on Fira de Barcelona website.

Fira de Barcelona is a complex that serves as the backdrop for the most varied events held in the city of Barcelona, because it has qualified facilities to accommodate different types of events and conferences. Montjuic Campus at Fira de Barcelona is located in Plaza España, which is well connected with the rest of the city by several bus lines and subway lines L1 (red) and L3 (green). In addition, Plaza España is very close to Sants Estació, main railway station in the city of Barcelona, and has easy access connections to the airport, either by train arriving at Sants station, or through the Aerobus, which are an express bus service connecting the airport with the city. Also, there are taxis available on Plaza España surroundings.

The GSMA Mobile World Congress has been celebrated on previous occasions in the city of Barcelona, and has such a big attendance for collapsing the city several times, and it has been quite difficult for companies to manage to find accommodation for their employees participating in this event. For this reason, we suggest the option of finding accommodation near the World Mobile Congress 2011 in apartments in Barcelona. A great advantage of this type of accommodation is that you can use it as a meeting room, another one is that allows several employees of the company staying in separate rooms but in the same apartment, to rationalize prices per night.

If you choose to stay in an apartment in Barcelona for the GSMA Mobile World Congress, we suggest you stay at any of the following areas:

  • Sants / Montjuïc: The area closest to Montjuic Campus at Fira de Barcelona.
  • Eixample Izquierdo and Plaza Catalunya: This area in Eixample neighborhood which is very well connected to the Plaza España by bus and metro, which is also an area suitable to stay if you want to participate in this event.
