One of the best pubs in Madrid are located in the center so that it is the perfect area to look for an accommodation for days in Madrid and to enjoy drinks, music and the atmosphere of Irish pubs in Madrid.

For instance, if you want to dress up with green and to have fun, some of the best options are:

  • The Irish Rover (7 Brasil Avenue): founded in 1995, this bar differentiates itself from others because of its special decoration that imitates a traditional Irish square. It also differs because of its library (situated upstairs) where every Sundays people from every part of the world come to speak in different languages from 7 p.m. There is also a pool area and on week end they play music in live from 11 p.m.
  • James Joyce Irish Pub (59 Alcalá Street). This pub runs into the Plaza de la Cibeles, and has replaced the Café Lion where in the 30´s the Valle-Inclán gathering took place. Nowadays, it is one of the few pubs own by an Irish (the boss is Matthew Loughney) so that you can enjoy traditional food and watch sports on the large screens.
  • Oneill´s (12 Príncipe Street): every Mondays there are trivias and on Wednesday it is Shotnight (1€ each shot).
  • Molly Malone´s is another interesting pub in Madrid (11 Manuela Malasaña Street): it is the first official Guiness pub in Madrid.  There are two floors and 5 different areas to watch sports on large screens.
  • Dubliners (7 Espoz y Mina Street) is on one side of the Puerta del Sol and it is one of the most attended pubs in Madrid by tourists given its excellent location and affordable price.
