What to do in Barcelona on Easter? There are many activities to do in Barcelona on Easter Week. If you are interested in catholic activities, you can participate in one of the main two processions in Barcelona during Easter, both of them will take place on Easter Friday, starting at 19:00

  • Procession of Our Lady of Sorrows: This procession has been organized since 1998 by the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Sorrows and it starts at Sant Jaume Church (Ferran Street, 28, at Gothic Quarter).
  • Procession of Esperanza Macarena y Jesus del Gran Poder: This is the most important procession in Barcelona and it takes places at Raval and Gothic Quarter.

Beside this religious activities, during Holy Week in Barcelona you can also participate in other activities, such as going at the Museo de la Xocolata (Chocolate Museum) for preparing your own Easter egg, or admire (and eat, of course) an amazing “Mona de Pascua” a special chocolate cake traditional for Easter in Barcelona.
