Total: 8.9 Debasish on 24 of August of 2011 : This apartment was an excellent apartment. it was home away from home. after long fun and exciting days in barcelona, we would come in and all of us would utter 'home sweet home'. the location of the apartment was excellent- the barceloneta metro station was right below, 5 mins from the beautiful winding streets in barcelona and 5-10 mins from the beach. it was centrally located for us to enjoy barcelona. there is a convenient supermarket on the ground floor of the apartment building. we would get groceries, water, ice cream whenever we needed. this was very helpful. the apartment was cozy and comfortable. it has all the basic necessities like bed linen, towels, iron and cutlery as well as modern amenities like tv, wifi. we had an absolutely amazing time and would definitely recommend it to others. david, when we come back to barcelona we will be staying in your apartment. thanks for enhancing our barcelona experience with this beautiful ..." Donald on 11 of June of 2011 : The location was nice except the insane amount of noise outside the apartment. the first night a sewage truck was outside our window from 1:30 to 4:30. there were loud arguments from the bums outside the window a couple of nights, and in general everyone was loud and drunk outside the window every night. and the air conditioner did not work. well located for site seeing but way way t..." Barbara and Andrew on 4 of March of 2011 : Hi, service from desig barcelona was excellent. few things were a real problem with condo rented. firs - it is on the 1st floor right at the corner the busiest corner at barcelona metro - and the young partiers hang around near the metro entrance and are noisy until 4 in the morning. then traffic starts to get noisy aroung 8 - so not great. second - the drapes are white ikea canvas - and the roller blinds to block out light do not go the full length of the window. this is a real challenge as the street lights are right outside the windows at the same height. the toilet seat in the ensuite was cracked right through - and was not replaced in the month that we were there, despite pointing it out right away. when we arrived, we had to wash all the cutlery and the cups - there was not one clean cup in the cupboard. i think the problem is that if you use a normal wash cycle, the dishwasher does not get the cups clean. we went to use the vacuum when we arrived (not that clean) and realized that it was not picking up the dirt - when i checked the vacuum cleaner bag - it was clear that it had never been changed and was completely full - so useless for cleaning. we also had only one light working in the ensuite - which meant you could not see clearly to put on makeup etc - there is an electrical problem - again pointed out the second day we were there and not fixed. the furnishings - place needs a coffee table. it is basic ikea - and on the main bed - some previous tenant had taken the two short mattresses from the trundle beds and put them on top of the foam mattress in the main bedroom. problem is that the trundle mattresses are a lot shorter and cheap coil mattresses. we are not tall so it was not a horrid issue once we put the foam mattress on top, but certainly not the quality of mattress for a luxurious unit. when we went to put the foam mattress on top of the other mattresses, we found that the mattress cover had semen stains on it - certainly disgusting - so we washed had to wash the bedding before we could use it. the spare blankets and bedding we left in one closet - and they were not clean - but i was not about to wash and fold everything we were not using. i really thing that we should have been paid a cleaning fee for the time and work it took us to get the place clean and ready to use. i would strongly recommend your services, but would not recommend this unit to anyone. david valencia was good to deal with - he did what he could - he had to bring knives (out of a set of 12 - there were only 6 knives, and two of them fell apart the first two days we were there - he brought us inexpensive metal knives - looked like cafeteria style but at least they did not fall apart. they also picked up a drip coffee maker at our request. but there were no tea towels provided and there were no pots one could use in a microwave. also reminds me - one of the oven controls is broken - you cannot set the time or program the oven because of this. amd last - we asked if there was english tv - well there was english language news channels but no sports or other english language services. occasionally we found some english language shows on some of the spanish cable networks, but they were generally really old repeats. so that was frustrating when you just want to relax and watch. if we spoke german or french it would have been fine but all the english language channels seemed to be pay per view. so a long list - and you can understand why i would not recommend the unit ..."
