What things should I try to eat and drink while being in Barcelona?

Beside the Spanish typical cheeses and cold meats, we strongly suggest you to try these things:

  • A glass of cava, a special sparkling wine produced only in Catalonia. If you like Sangría, order a Sangria made with cava instead of red wine and you’ll love it.
  • Take at least one piece of pa amb tomaquet, the famous catalonian bread spreaed with tomato and olive oil.
  • If you like seefood, try fideua that is similar to paella, but made with noodles instead of rice. It’s delicious!
  • If you come to Barcelona on winter, do not miss the calçots, a kind of sweet-long onions, roasted and combined with romesco sauce.

Is there anything else I should know?

Barcelona is a very touristic city and there are pickpockets. Take good care of your belongings all the time and be extra careful if someone you don’t know comes to speak to you without any reason.

If you want to eat in a very touristic place, such as the restaurants located in Las Ramblas, make sure to ask the prices of beverages before ordering, to avoid surprises in the bill.

If you want to stay right on the city centre, choose one of our your accommodation in Barcelona.
